The FaroArm is a highly accurate portable measurement arm designed for engineering, manufacturing and controlling of dimensional quality by anyone in production.
The FaroArm delivers guaranteed measurement accuracy as low as +/-.0010 inches (+/-.025mm). FARO's proprietary design technology integrates precision encoders to accurately measure the exact position of the probe tip regardless of the user's approach to the measured part or assembly.
As a portable measurement tool, the FaroArm can be easily set up, where needed, regardless of the environment. Patented internal temperature compensation corrects for environmental temperature changes to eliminate performance problems typically found in traditional measurement devices.
The FARO Laser Tracker X is a portable, 3D measurement system, which uses laser technology to effectively and accurately measure large parts, tooling and machinery.
The system measures 3D coordinates with its laser by following a mirrored spherical probe. With high accuracy angular encoders and XtremeADM - Absolute Distance Measurement, it reports the 3D position of the probe in real-time.
In addition to the 0.001" accuracy and 230 foot range, the system has an instant-on laser and can self-calibrate with Self- Comp* in just five minutes. Other exclusive features such as Smart Warm-up and Active Thermal Compensation* ensure stable high accuracy measurement in the most challenging of measurement environments.
The model X is the first ADM-only laser tracker, delivering high accuracy portable measurement at an affordable price. The patent pending GPS calibrated XtremeADM eliminates the need for additional distance measurement techniques.
